  • Cell culture (Isolation and maintenance of cells from bone and ovary).
  • Handled cell-lines like human osteosarcoma (SaOS2), breast cancer (MDA), HIT-T15, INS cell-line, kidney (Vero) etc.,
  • Surgical techniques in Endocrinology (ovariectomy and orchidectomy) in laboratory animals like rats and mice.
  • Isolation of different subcellular compartments (nucleus, mitochondria, secretory granule and microsome.

Current work

  1. Some aspects of wound healing with respect to diabetes mellitus using keratinocytes derived from human skin and cell-lines.
  2. We are also studying the relationship between obesity and diabetes mellitus using various serum markers
